BRAKE
REPAIR

Stopping power isn’t optional. It’s essential.

In a performance vehicle, braking is just as important as acceleration. Whether you're navigating mountain roads or city streets, your vehicle’s ability to stop safely and predictably depends on a brake system that's maintained with precision. At Northwest European Autoworks, we deliver expert brake diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades specifically for European vehicles — restoring the confidence and control your car was designed for.

We don’t just replace parts. We diagnose the complete system to protect your safety and your investment.

Our Step-by-Step Brake Service Process

We don't take shortcuts when it comes to brakes. Here's how we approach every service:

  • Visual Brake System Inspection
We inspect pads, rotors, calipers, lines, and master cylinders for wear, scoring, warping, corrosion, or leaks.

  • Brake Pad & Rotor Measurement
We measure the thickness of pads and rotors to manufacturer specifications to determine remaining lifespan or urgent needs.

  • Brake Fluid Testing and Analysis
We test brake fluid moisture content and boiling point. High moisture lowers stopping power and risks ABS component damage.

  • Caliper Performance Check
We verify even pressure and piston movement on all calipers, and check for seized or dragging components.

  • Brake Line and Hose Integrity Inspection
We examine flexible hoses and hard brake lines for cracks, leaks, swelling, and damage from road debris or corrosion.

  • ABS System Diagnostics
We scan the ABS control module for fault codes, verify wheel speed sensor signals, and confirm safe operation of all electronic braking aids.

  • Post-Service Bed-In Procedure (if needed)
After new pad and rotor installation, we properly bed-in the materials to ensure optimal friction and braking performance.

Common Symptoms of Brake Issues:

  • Squealing, grinding, or clicking noises when braking

  • Vibration or pulsation through the brake pedal

  • Brake warning lights on the dashboard

  • Longer stopping distances or spongy pedal feel

  • Vehicle pulling to one side under braking

Why Brake Maintenance Matters…

Worn brakes reduce stopping distance, compromise handling, and increase the risk of accidents—especially in emergency situations. Routine brake service protects you, your passengers, and your vehicle. It also helps prevent costly damage to rotors, calipers, and ABS systems that can occur if maintenance is delayed.
